Meet Our New Staff Members
One of our greatest joys each year is welcoming new staff members who God calls to serve our children and families. Our staff are the backbone of Casa Bernabé, and they serve in a way that is beyond selfless. We want you to meet them now, so when you visit, these names and faces already feel familiar.
📚 School Staff
Our school continues to grow, and with it, our amazing team of educators. We have 362 students this year, and 25 staff so far (we are still hiring more teachers).
Flor is not new to Casa Bernabé, but she now serves as our Primaria Principal while continuing her previous role as school psychologist. Her leadership and heart for students are already making a big impact.
Yesenia de Cifuentes

🏢 Office & Program Staff
Behind the scenes, these new staff members help keep Casa Bernabé running smoothly. If you come visit us on a team in 2026, you'll likely meet and interact with some of them.
Camila Vásquez
General Secretary/Receptionist. She plans rides, coordinates events, and welcomes visitors in the front office. Camila grew up serving at CB in Casa Ester, and her parents, Fabian and Jovelin, still serve on campus.
Flori Castillo
Serving in our Vocational Program, helping students discover career paths that fit their skills and interests. She also helps in Casa Hosanna with Wilmer and Fernanda.
Ceilin Sacol
Our new Social Worker who accompanies children to court hearings and supports them through the legal and emotional process
Mingo del Cid
Our new Gatekeeper, living at the entrance with his family and helping keep Casa Bernabé safe. He is former staff member, Lili’s brother.
Chef Aurelia’s daughter who has served CB for many years and now steps into a new role as a Psychologist for our younger children
⛪️ Pastors
We said goodbye to Pastor Milton and Siomara Lemus at the beginning of this year when they retired after many years of faithful service, and we're excited to welcome several new staff members to serve our campus in pastoral roles.
Gelvin Yuman
Serving as Pastor assisting Families United, traveling and offering spiritual counsel as the team meets with the biological families of our children
Pastor Christian Santa Cruz
Campus Pastor, previously served at CB in Public Relations with his daughter, Pastor Christian now serves our entire campus spiritually. He serves alongside his wife Ruth and daughters Ana Rebeca and Annelize, who have moved onto campus to live and are blessing our community in many ways.
🏠 House Parents
We had two sets of house parents leave at the end of 2025 – Rony & Yesenia in Casa Samuel and Juan Pablo & Dennise in Casa Daniel – so we had the great challenge of hiring two couples to replace them. All our staff are hired carefully and prayerfully, but the house parents play such an active role in the kids' lives that we are always especially concerned with who we hire to fill those positions. God has brought two couples who were already part of the Casa Bernabé family to become our new house parents.
Moises & Lucky Rodriguez –
Casa Samuel
Lucky previously served CB as a psychologist and brings great wisdom as a house mom. Moises’ calm spirit and love for children complement her beautifully. Together, they care for eight boys with grace and dedication.
Anthony & Mildred Guerra – Casa Daniel
Previously serving in the gate house, they are familiar faces at CB. Two of Mildred’s siblings are also house parents (Wilmer in Casa Hosana and Vivian in Casa David). They care for the boys in their house as well as their two young sons, Edwar (3) and Tiago (1).
Casa Bernabé is an incredible place to serve, but it is also challenging. Please pray for all our new staff as they adjust, build relationships, and care for children who have experienced trauma and loss.
We especially ask for prayer for our teachers and school staff. We are still looking to hire several more teachers, and in the meantime the teachers we have are working extra hard to cover then needs in our school. Pray for strength, wisdom, unity, and joy in the classroom.
Thank you for loving Casa Bernabé from afar! Your prayers and generosity are woven into every classroom, every home, and every story of healing here. We are grateful to serve alongside you.
