Casa Promesa
To be fully funded monthly, each of our houses needs one House Sponsor ($2,000/month) and 12 Child and Family Sponsors ($120/month each). Casa Promesa currently has a House Sponsor but is in need of additional Child and Family Sponsors. Casa Promesa’s house parents, Leonel and Meylin, have faithfully served in this role since 2017. Alongside their two daughters, Jhoaly (16) and Camila (13), who are always eager to help, they care for eight girls and one special little boy.
The girls in Casa Promesa love playing volleyball and spending time coloring or doing crafts together. The younger girls especially enjoy playing house with the baby dolls around the home. When it’s time to relax, the younger girls gravitate toward Disney movies, while the older girls enjoy watching Korean dramas.
The older girls are wonderful role models for the younger ones and have plenty of experience helping care for them. Despite busy weekly schedules, Leonel and Meylin are intentional about using downtime to connect with the girls, joining in their hobbies, interests, and everyday moments. They truly enjoy spending time together as a family and do an incredible job cultivating a strong, loving family dynamic within Casa Promesa.
