Casa David
To be fully funded monthly, each of our houses needs one House Sponsor ($2,000/month) and 12 Child and Family Sponsors ($120/month each). Casa David currently has a House Sponsor but is in need of additional Child and Family Sponsors. Casa David’s house parents, Sergio and Vivian, began serving in this role last year. After completing a year as house parents, they have developed strong relationships with the boys and established a routine that works well for everyone. Sergio and Vivian have three biological children, Reyven (13), Luis (11), and Areli (6). We are incredibly grateful for Sergio and Vivian and the endless energy, patience, and love they pour into the boys of Casa David.
The boys in this house are extremely active and can often be found all across campus playing soccer, volleyball, and basketball, or spending time on the playground. They thrive when they are moving and engaged, and because boredom comes quickly, Sergio frequently takes them into the woods on campus to explore. He also enjoys leading games of kickball and soccer with the boys.
Vivian is an incredible cook and often prepares traditional Guatemalan meals for the boys. They love helping her in the kitchen and learning alongside her. During the week, the boys wind down by playing a variety of board games and card games that challenge their thinking and problem-solving skills. Weekends are typically set aside for relaxing and movie nights, at least until the boys decide they’re ready to head back outside and play again.
