Casa Alabanza

To be fully funded monthly, each of our houses needs one House Sponsor ($2,000/month) and 12 Child and Family Sponsors ($120/month each). Casa Alabanza currently has a House Sponsor but is still in need of Child and Family Sponsors. To see how close Casa Alabanza is to reaching full funding from Child and Family Sponsors, check the progress bar below.

Located at the bottom of the hill, Casa Alabanza is home to Luis and Glendi, who have faithfully served as house parents for the past five years. They have two daughters, Sara (13) and Raquel (10).

In addition to their own daughters, Luis and Glendi care for seven girls, including a baby, and two boys. Due to the special needs of one of the boys, as well as having both a toddler and an infant in the home, Casa Alabanza is supported by two dedicated house helpers, Jaquelin and Zoila, a mother and daughter team. Alongside Luis and Glendi, they truly have hearts for these children, and their patience and kindness are evident the moment you step into the house.

Luis also enjoys working in the kitchen and regularly makes bread for all of Casa Bernabé. The kids love helping when they can and enjoy learning from him. The girls especially enjoy coloring, making bracelets, and playing board games together. Outdoor play is a favorite as well, whether jumping on the trampoline, playing with toy cars, or setting up the volleyball net to play volleyball and Nuke ’Em together.
